On Friday 19th February from 12.00 to 3.00pm, the Gillette World Club Challenge trophy was on display on Queen Victoria Street in the Victoria Quarter.
Leeds' Rhinos are aiming to win the title for an unprecedented fourth season in a row in 2010, having beaten St Helens in 2009 Super League Grand Final 18 – 10. The Rhinos are also the first team in Super League history to win the championship three years running.
Alex Ferguson from the Rugby Football League was on hand to talk to fans, and Rhinos mascot Ronnie the Rhino was also be in the centre.
VQ Centre Director commented, “ The Rhinos have had an extraordinary run of form recently, making them one of the most successful teams in the RFL. We're proud to have the trophy here in the VQ, and wish them every success in the 2010 season.”
