November was all about Movember at VQ’s High and Mighty. The staff at the Leeds store raised £240. for Movember’s Prostrate Cancer Charity and donations are still coming in.
The “Mo Growers” team at High and Mighty, that’s Clive Shearing, Adam Clarke and Adam Bowie, all grew rather debonair upper lip adornment to raise money for Movember, the international moustache growing charity event held each year, that raises funds and awareness for men's health issues, specifically prostate cancer.
Donations can still be made in store or on-line to the High and Mighty team at:

All participants in this global charity event are known as Mo Bros and the aim is that each Mo Bro effectively becomes a walking billboard for men’s health and, via their Mo, raises essential funds for Movember’s men’s health partner – The Prostate Cancer Charity.
“We’ve had a lot of fun raising money for Movember, it’s such a great cause and our customers have been very supportive” explains Clive Shearing, High and Mighty Manager, VQ, Leeds. “Although at the end of the month our girlfriends were desperate for us to have a shave!”
Movember has continued to grow each year, both in terms of participation numbers and funds raised. In its first year, 30 Mo Bros took part in Movember and last year, across the globe more than 173,000 Mo Bros and of course, their supporting ‘Mo Sistas’ got on board, raising more than £14 million across the Movember’s men’s health partners globally.
To date, Movember has raised over £30 million internationally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. And, more importantly, as a direct result, male awareness of health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread health messages directly to millions of Mo Bros and ‘Sistas’ around the world.
Going forward, Movember will continue to work towards helping to change established habits and attitudes and make men aware of the risks they face, thereby increasing early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment.
The Mo Bros at Leeds VQ’s High and Mighty 25, King Edward Street Tel: 0113 245 2335 would like to thank everybody who has donated to Movember.
