TV Chef Lesley Waters
The Victoria Quarter will be a real food lovers paradise from 1st – 4th July, when the centre takes part in the Leeds Loves Food Festival.
There’ll be demonstrations and sampling from VQ’s food retailers including a food market in Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar, coffee and home-made cakes at Opposite Cafe, sushi demos and sampling from YO! Sushi and Ramus Seafood, Lishmans Butchers, an exploration of local food from Delicious Yorkshire and a deli and demos by celebrated local chef Anthony Flinn at Anthony’s Patisserie.
The keynote event will be a live cooking show with TV Chef Lesley Waters between 1.30 and 4.00pm on Friday 2nd July in Queen Victoria Street. A former chef and cookery demonstrator, Lesley's lively personality makes her a popular television cook and a regular member of the team on Ready Steady Cook (BBC 2), and This Morning (ITV1). In 2008 Lesley was the main presenter of Little Chefs (ITV Westcountry).
Lesley has also written nearly twenty books including Fifteen Minute Feasts and Four Seasons Cookery for BBC Books, Sainsbury's Quick and Easy Food for Friends, Weight Watchers Carefree Christmas, Ready Steady Cook Book 3 and Weight Watchers Store Cupboard Cookery. When not busy filming Lesley spends time running her immensely popular cookery school in Devon.
The Leeds Loves Food festival celebrates all the great food and drink available in the city, and is a must for all gastronomes.
