Reiss, in County Arcade, are launching a stand-alone store for their 1971 collection on Saturday 10th July – the first outside London.
The store will replace the existing accessories outlet opposite the main shop, and will carry the full 1971 women’s collection.
VQ Centre Director, John Bade commented, “Reiss have been a very successful addition to VQ since they opened, so it’s really pleasing to see them investing further in their presence in the centre. The 1971 range is a capsule collection, so will now be able to develop a strong identity in the stand-alone store.”
In contrast to the image suggested by the name, the range is neither retro nor revivalist. It brings a modern, chic, sexy, fashion forward evolution of the brand into denim, and takes its’ name from the year the company was founded. It captures the spirit of a time when music and fashion began to make heady connections, and has been a popular addition to the company’s ranges since its launch last year.
