The Victoria Quarter in the heart of Leeds' city centre is a unique shopping development, home to 76 of the worlds leading designer brands. With names such as Harvey Nichols, Louis Vuitton, Agent Provocateur, Gieves and Hawkes, The White Company, Jo Malone, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith, it has become a 'must see' destination for millions of style-savvy shoppers...
Over the last 20 years the Victoria Quarter has become synonymous with style and fashion shopping in Leeds beginning, arguably, in 1996 when Harvey Nichols chose the centre for their first store outside London. Since then many other top names have followed, with Louis Vuitton, Agent Provocateur, Nicky Clarke and Paul Smith all now having stores in the centre.
2008 continued that trend as Mulberry, Jack Wills and Church's Shoes came to the centre. Add to that the launch of a flagship store for Vivienne Westwood and the opening of a dedicated accessories shop for Reiss, the VQ offer an unrivaled choice of style and luxury. In 2009 jewellery and accessory store Folli Follie arrived in Queen Victoria Street followed by silver specialist Thomas Sabo.
If all that shopping proves too much there are four venues within the VQ eating and relaxing. Harvey Nichols have a restaurant on the fourth floor of their store as well as an espresso bar and cafe on Queen Victoria Street, while sushi experts YO! Sushi are also on the fourth floor of the store. Alternatively, award-winning chef Anthony Flinn opened his third city venue in the centre in Autumn 2006; Anthony's Patisserie is also on Queen Victoria Street. Bagel Nash, French Revolution and now Oppostie Cafe offer a further selection of sandwiches, bagels and hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy.
No visit to Leeds would be complete without a trip to the Victoria Quarter, the mix of retailers together with its' breathtaking architecture and continental atmosphere continue to make it a must for millions of visitors and regular shoppers alike.
